Pay: $90,000–$110,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus an annual performance-based bonus opportunity

Job Description:
The Contracts Manager will oversee the administration and coordination of construction-related contracts, proposals, vendor agreements, and procurement documentation across multiple business units.
This individual will partner with leadership, internal stakeholders, purchasing teams, vendors, and outside legal counsel to support efficient contract execution while helping minimize organizational risk.
This role is ideal for a highly organized contracts professional who understands construction contract language and can balance legal and operational considerations with practical business needs. The successful candidate will also help identify opportunities to improve workflows through technology, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction-related contracts and procurement agreements throughout the contract lifecycle
- Develop, maintain, and enhance contract, proposal, and vendor agreement templates
- Review proposed contract revisions and coordinate with outside counsel regarding legal and business implications
- Partner with leadership, purchasing, vendor management, and internal business teams to improve contract workflows
- Support contract negotiations while maintaining appropriate controls and protecting the organization’s interests
- Help ensure contract terms are commercially reasonable, practical, and aligned with business objectives
- Improve the efficiency and consistency of contract review, approval, administration, and execution processes
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology within the contract management function
- Support multiple operating businesses and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience managing construction contracts, procurement agreements, or related contract processes
- Working knowledge of construction contract terms and their implications in Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland
- Experience supporting contracts from initial review through negotiation, execution, and ongoing administration
- Strong contract analysis, organization, and attention-to-detail skills
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including the ability to review and revise negotiated contract language
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, attorneys, vendors, and cross-functional business partners
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with contract automation, AI tools, or contract lifecycle management technology is a plus
