Position: Aqua Pool Server

Location: Boar’s Head Resort | Charlottesville, VA

Department: Food & Beverage – Sports Club / Aquatics

Position Overview

At Boar’s Head Resort, we deliver elevated, personalized service across every guest touchpoint. As an Aqua Server, you will provide exceptional food and beverage service in our poolside and aquatics areas, creating a seamless, relaxed, yet refined guest experience.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment while maintaining the poise and attention to detail expected in a luxury resort setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, personalized food and beverage service to guests in poolside and aquatics areas
• Greet guests warmly and engage using guest names whenever possible to create a memorable experience
• Take accurate orders and deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally
• Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including cabanas, seating areas, and poolside stations
• Uphold all safety and sanitation standards, including responsible alcohol service
• Collaborate with culinary and bar teams to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations with confidence and product knowledge
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when appropriate

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous serving experience preferred; hospitality or resort experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• High energy, positive attitude, and strong sense of urgency
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service (per Virginia law)
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry trays, food, and beverages (up to 25 lbs)
• Ability to work in outdoor, seasonal conditions
