RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 36-bed medical surgical unit with 55 employees
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Work with post-operative patients
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and drain management
• Maintain and manage patient drains
• Provide care for post-operative patients
• Day shift staffing includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs
• Work with Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
• Use Meditech EMR system
• BLS certification required
• Experience with post-operative patients preferred
• Competency with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred
• Must be a team player with positive attitude
• Strong patient advocacy skills required
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs
• No hoodies, pull-overs, or t-shirts allowed
