The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the practice while serving as a leader and resource for the front office team. This role partners closely with the doctors and clinical team to ensure efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and achievement of practice goals. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about building a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support the front office team while promoting a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Oversee daily practice operations to ensure efficiency and an exceptional patient experience.
- Manage patient scheduling to optimize provider productivity and patient access.
- Monitor practice performance and assist in achieving operational and financial goals.
- Train, coach, and mentor team members while supporting employee development.
- Address patient questions and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
- Verify insurance benefits and assist with treatment plan presentations as needed.
- Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and daily financial reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with doctors and leadership to implement operational improvements.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
- Previous dental office management, practice lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Dental front office experience required.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance, scheduling, and patient coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eagle soft, or Open Dental is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
