CT/Rad Tech Job Details – Roanoke, VA

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel healthcare contract)
• Location: Roanoke, VA 24014 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/26/2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour days (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM), with 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts every 6 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2750–$2820
• Patient Population: Adult patients (young, middle-aged, and older adults)
• Charting System: Epic EMR

CT/Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a CT Technologist or Radiology Technologist (3 years preferred)
• Active ARRT certification and Virginia state license (or eligibility to work under another state license with 90-day VA authorization)
• RCIS / CCI certification accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Interventional radiology or critical care experience preferred
• Current RTT or RTR status
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

CT/Rad Tech Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, including:
  • Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
  • Coronary Athrectomy
  • IABP Placement and Removal
  • Impella Insertion
  • Orbital Athrectomy
  • Rotoblader Athrectomy
  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and hemodynamic data accurately
• Set up and operate specialized cardiac cath lab equipment (e.g., Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, Laser, OCT, IVUS)
• Maintain sterile field and assist with scrubbing for procedures
• Prep access sites and perform EKG lead placement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and Unit Secretary
• Participate in rotating call and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Document patient care and procedures accurately using Epic EMR
