Montessori Children's Center is currently accepting applications for Summer Camp Teachers for the month of June 16th-August 13th
Full-time hours - 9:00am to 6:00pm (M-F) with a 1 hour break.
Locations: Ashburn and Centreville

We are looking for kind-hearted and FUN individuals willing to guide children to be self-motivated learners while helping stimulate their natural desire to learn with fun summer activities.

You'll be responsible for overseeing their activities: such as art, music, and outdoor adventures, and ensuring they don't get lost or hurt.
The job duties of a Summer Camp Teacher include planning summer camp games, educating young children, and setting up equipment.
Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children are two essential traits of a Camp teacher. You need to have knowledge of age-appropriate outdoor activities, art, and music.

• Plan indoor and outdoor activities for children ages 18month -6 years
• Create weekly and daily schedules taking into account children's age groups and interests
• Lead recreational and educational activities (such as art, music, and outdoor games)
• Escort and oversee children during special activities
• Educate students through games and explorations
• lift 40 lb
• comfortable changing diapers/ clothes
• Set up and maintain equipment clean and safe
• Make sure all safety rules are followed
• Ensure classrooms are clean before and after class
• Perform first aid or take care of injuries as needed Keep accurate daily logs and communication with parents

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (strength and stamina to follow strenuous activities like running, crouching, or carrying children)
• First aid- and CPR-certified
• High school diploma
