Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating industrial lift trucks to handle materials, equipment, and products throughout various production and warehouse areas. Your role is critical in supporting shipping, receiving, leaf processing, and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on position ideal for experienced and safety-focused individuals.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate industrial trucks equipped to lift, stack, and move products and materials
• Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, or lifting devices
• Transport and stage products in designated storage, shipping, or processing areas
• Load outbound trailers and organize inbound inventory
• Weigh products and record data on tags, labels, or production records
• Perform forklift operations in leaf processing, shipping, receiving, and off-site warehouse areas
• Complete pre-operation safety checklist daily; report issues to Facilities Maintenance immediately
• Monitor equipment for functionality and submit maintenance or incident reports as needed
• Follow all safety protocols as outlined in company policy
• Operate industrial floor sweeper as assigned
• Keep assigned area clean and organized following 5S3R housekeeping policy
• Perform additional duties such as replacing cartons, strapping, scanning, or sweeping as instructed by the line manager

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid forklift certification or equivalent experience preferred
• Prior experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with basic inventory procedures and weight documentation
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Subject to random toxic substance screenings per policy

In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the rate mentioned above is the full base hourly rate for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
