EMT/Paramedic – Urgent Care

Bayview Physicians Group is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I), EMT-Advanced (EMT-A), or Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our Urgent Care team. Under the supervision and medical direction of the Urgent Care Physician, the EMT/Paramedic plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist urgent care providers with both invasive and non-invasive clinical procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Electrocardiograms (EKGs)

  • Intravenous (IV) insertions

  • Phlebotomy

• Deliver age-appropriate care by demonstrating knowledge of human growth and development across the life span.

• Collect and interpret patient data to support clinical assessment and decision-making.

• Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures while maintaining a safe, supportive patient environment.

• Collaborate effectively with the care team to enhance the patient experience and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Successful completion of an approved Paramedic or EMT-I training course. Equivalent military medical training and experience may be considered.

Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of field experience preferred, but not required.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current certification as a Virginia or National Registry EMT-I, EMT-A, or EMT-P required.

• Current CPR certification required.

• Relevant military medical experience (e.g., corpsman or medical technician) may be accepted in lieu of EMT certification.
