At One Purpose , we specialize in Non-Center-Based Community Engagement services that help individuals build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections in their community.

We’re currently hiring Community Engagement Staff to support clients during weekday evenings and weekends . Our clients are high-functioning adults who thrive with encouragement, structure, and positive social experiences. If you’re a positive, outgoing person who enjoys being active in your community, this role is for you!

Position: Community Engagement Staff

Available Hours:

• Monday through Friday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Support high-functioning adults with developmental disabilities in community settings such as parks, libraries, events, local businesses, and volunteer sites.
• Encourage independence, social interaction, and progress toward ISP (Individual Support Plan) goals.
• Safely transport clients to and from scheduled activities using your own vehicle .
• Use your knowledge of local events and places to plan meaningful, engaging outings.
• Monitor behavior and provide positive support and redirection as needed.
• Accurately document daily activities, goals, and progress notes.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and drive your own vehicle.
• Must have valid car insurance.
• No accidents or traffic tickets in the past 5 years (clean driving record required).
• CPR, First Aid certification, and medication certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must be dependable , positive , and have an outgoing personality .
• Must have a good understanding of local events and places to take clients for meaningful engagement.
• Availability during the listed hours is required.
