Technical Content Manager

: Description:

The Association for Manufacturing Technology is looking for a Technical Content Manager to develop best-in-class content to support the industry's leading manufacturing technology community.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and curate high-quality content on manufacturing technology, drawing inspirations from our member community, trade shows, events, and partners.
• In collaboration with our audience development team, prepare keyword research and article briefs for technical content development.
• Ensure AMT maintains best practices for audience acquisition and engagement, such as newsletter optimization, search engine optimization (SEO), and emerging audience channels.
• Manage and publish content to promote companies, manufacturing technology, and products.
• Conduct interviews and participate in digital and live events to convert experiential and tacit knowledge into helpful industry guides.
• Curate and organize trending innovations, industry breakthroughs, and developmental information to help our members and community stay abreast of the industry.
• Track and report on audience engagement metrics, and work to improve engagement performance.
• Be helpful - e.g., responding to customers' and members' requests with professionalism, responsiveness, and resourcefulness (AMT will provide training and connections to industry experts).
• Assist in the management of content resources and provide feedback and coaching to ensure consistent content quality of technical content.
• Assist with social media posts, newsletter copy preparation, webinar development, and other content marketing activities as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Journalism, Communications, or English with a strong passion for engineering and technical subject matter.
• 3+ years of editing experience, with a demonstrated ability to consistently identify errors and perform value-added edits.
• A demonstrated ability to write highly technical content on conceptually difficult topics quickly, translating complex information for broad audiences in a manner that facilitates comprehension without oversimplification.
• Experience with a fast-paced content production environment producing long-form content.
• Ability to operate and thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work quickly and collaboratively and to deliver against deadlines.
• Impeccable organization skills and ability to function autonomously under minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Content Management Tools, Image applications, Google Drive, HubSpot, Project Management Tools, and other process management tools.
