About The Job
As Senior Director of Growth, you will support and define strategic initiatives within the Growth organization. This role is pivotal in achieving the company’s growth objectives by identifying, developing, and leading the capture and proposal efforts for new business opportunities. You must leverage your technical proficiency, robust connections within the defense community, and your comprehensive understanding of DoD contracting strategies. This is a high-impact role requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Parry Lab’s product and solutions portfolio, including customers in the US DoD and other government agencies.
- Generate accurate and realistic business forecasts and own the associated pipeline data to support the P&L in achieving revenue, bookings, and profit goals.
- Work across the Growth organization to support corporate strategy and growth goals.
- Lead capture and proposal efforts for critical business areas. Cultivate and maintain effective strategic business relationships with customers and partners.
- Cultivate and maintain effective strategic business relationships with customers and partners.
- Provide guidance and support to Executive Leadership on business investments and priorities to foster growth.
- Develop and implement opportunity-specific capture plans and strategies.
- Support product evolution plans in collaboration with Engineering; recommend independent research and development (IR&D) plans to support growth; and facilitate the acquisition of related contract research and development (CRAD).
- Manage approved budgets and advise on resources required for capture, tradeshows, and customer engagement. For tradeshows, outline show objectives, attendance, and customer engagements.
- Generate accurate and realistic business forecasts and manage associated pipeline data.
- Collaborate closely with the company’s Cross Functional Growth organization to support on-contract growth, new opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Political Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 12 or more years of experience in defense business development, capture management, or government relations
- Proven track record leading business capture efforts and securing contracts with defense agencies
- Experience developing and executing strategic business plans tied to revenue and growth targets
- Familiarity with the U.S. defense acquisition process and DoD customer landscape, including Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and SOCOM
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners
- Strong experience in pipeline forecasting, opportunity capture, and proposal leadership
- Ability to collaborate across technical, programmatic, and executive functions to align business goals
- Excellent communication skills and experience delivering strategic briefings to senior leadership
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience engaging with Congressional stakeholders and supporting NDAA and appropriations efforts
- Background in business development or government affairs within a defense contractor or federal agency
- Knowledge of CRAD/IRAD processes and experience influencing product development strategies
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and capture management tools
- Active DoD security clearance
