General Definition of Work
Performs work establishing relationships with, and providing support and services to, residents looking to
obtain self-sufficiency by means of employment, and other work as apparent or assigned.
This position reports to Jobs Plus Program Manager.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function
satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation. The requirements listed below are

the employee must engage in an interactive process with RRHA HR to determine what accommodations
may be possible.
Disseminates information about Jobs Plus, training and employment opportunities to residents.
Promotes the value of work and career advancement to residents.
Informs residents about specific job openings and all aspects of the Jobs Plus program by all
methods, including face-to-face, distributing flyers and printed material and attending Jobs Plus
events and training.
Works closely with the Jobs Plus team on outreach campaigns centering on core components of
the Jobs Plus Program, including, but not limited to, employment, education, and training.
Assists Jobs Plus staff to plan and operate events that are used to promote Jobs Plus and build a
sense of community.
Inform Jobs Plus staff of barriers and other concerns residents express to help identify solutions.
Maintain confidentiality and be responsive to residents’ needs.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or the ability and willingness to obtain one within 12 months of hire date.
Some volunteer experience involving public contact. Any combination of experience and/or training which
would afford the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities that meet the requisites for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Active participant in the Jobs Plus Program. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
Special Qualifications
Valid state identification or driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
