Join Our Team as a Traffic Control Driver/Laborer!

Are you a reliable, safety-focused driver looking for a steady job with a dynamic and growing company? We are hiring dedicated Traffic Control Drivers/Laborers to support our traffic management operations in the Richmond, VA area. In this role, you will be a critical part of the team, responsible for safely transporting equipment and personnel, setting up work zones, and ensuring the safety of construction crews and the traveling public.

What You'll Do

• Drive and Transport: Safely operate company vehicles (pickup trucks, stake beds, or other company-appropriate vehicles) to transport traffic control equipment (signs, cones, barricades, barrels, arrow boards, etc.) and crew members to and from job sites.
• Set Up Traffic Control: Work as part of a team to correctly and efficiently set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control zones according to local, state, and company standards (MUTCD/FHWA guidelines).
• Site Safety: Act as a flagger when necessary to control traffic flow and ensure the safety of workers and the public.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment; report any maintenance needs immediately.
• General Labor: Assist with manual labor tasks on the job site as directed by the Crew Chief or Supervisor.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is mandatory.
• Experience: Proven, safe driving experience. Prior experience in construction, traffic control, or a related field is a plus.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed, based on project demands.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
• Safety Focus: A commitment to safety procedures and protocols is essential.
