Electrical Assembler
Job Title: Electrical Assembler (Entry Level)
Job Description
An Electrical Assembler is responsible for installing basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Run rigid (1.5 inch) pipe down to the gear box.
- Wire 3-way switches.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
- Install and mount electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
- Perform interlock wiring as required.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.
- Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read contract drawings.
- Work with Electrical Distribution systems and wiring up to 480V. Install conduit, wireways, pull wiring/cables, and terminate cables.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and control wiring diagrams.
Essential Skills
- Electrical Apprentice or equivalent experience.
- Experience with high voltage systems.
- Ability to bend and install rigid 1.5 inch pipe.
- Ability to perform modifications as necessary.
- Wiring experience.

Work Environment
Work in a well-equipped manufacturing setting, where personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety vests, and safety glasses are provided, except for steel-toed boots. The schedule consists of Monday to Thursday from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm and Friday from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, offering 4 10-hour shifts and an 8-hour shift, allowing for ample overtime opportunities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
