Locum Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locum Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) in beautiful Northern Virginia!

The PA must be able to work a minimum of 2 weeks per month! 2 weeks on 2 off or 7 on 7 off.

Schedule:

-Monday to Friday (5 weekdays in the OR)

-Shift hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

-On-call: One to two nights per week

-Weekend coverage: One or more weekends per month

-Seeking coverage 3-6 month full time contract starting asap! Both options to extend and provide more coverage!

Responsibilities:

- First assist in CABG, SAVR, and other cardiothoracic procedures.

- Provide comprehensive care, including covering the floor, participating in rounds, and occasional patient visits in the office setting.

- Handle an average of two CABG or SAVR cases per day.

- Experience in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting and full continuum of care is required.

Requirements:

- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)

- Active Virginia state license and DEA certification.

- Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery required.

- Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and full continuum of care.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- 1099 contract with competitive compensation (DOE) plus paid malpractice, travel, housing, and credentialing fees.
