Position Title: Senior Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Herndon, VA (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week)
Assignment type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire (depending on candidate status)
Compensation: $28 – $37 / Hour (Temp-to-Hire) | $65,000 – $80,000 annually (Direct Hire)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client’s finance team. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with modern ERP systems. The company recently migrated to NetSuite, offering this position exposure to process improvements and optimization opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processing, including invoice entry, approvals, and payment runs.
- Perform vendor account reconciliations and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Support post-implementation process refinement and optimization within NetSuite.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in AP processing.
- Assist with month-end close and ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Strong experience with NetSuite (required).
- Proficiency in Excel and general Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams.
- Professional, presentable demeanor with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience supporting ERP system migrations or process improvement projects.

- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
