Remote Sales Consultant (GFPSCNVA)
A growing fire protection company is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing customers throughout an assigned territory.
In this role, you'll be responsible for selling fire protection system installations, inspections, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and repair services to commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and institutional customers. You'll work with building owners, facility managers, contractors, and other decision-makers to identify needs, provide solutions, and support long-term customer relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for a consultative sales professional who enjoys building relationships, managing a territory, and creating recurring revenue opportunities while working remotely
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory growth strategy
- Identify and engage prospective customers through networking, referrals, prospecting, and business development activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and facility stakeholders
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and site visits as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities within existing accounts
- Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activity
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
- Deliver a high level of customer service before, during, and after the sale
Qualifications
- 3+ years of outside sales or business development experience
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
- Experience in facility services, construction, building systems, industrial services, or a related industry is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software is a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
