Shipping Coordinator
Position Overview : The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing all outgoing shipments for the company, as well as determining methods and cost of shipping. Must have a good working knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and USPS
Salary: $18.00 (37,440 annually)
Job Responsibilities -
- Ship up to 100 packages per day.
- Can do international shipping via all carriers.
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
- Track, trace and update the status of outgoing shipments.
- Monitors shipping charges on packages and informs IT if amounts seem incorrect.
- Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required.
- Collaborates with other departments and communicates with vendors and drivers.
- Manages shipping supplies inventory and uses the purchasing system to order supplies when necessary so we always have them in stock.
- Keep the shipping area secured.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good work ethic, punctual with consistent attendance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, comprehend and adhere to training materials and SOPs
- Good attention to detail
