Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7.5-hour shift between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Start Date: Target 3/2/26
Salary : $38,000 – $48,000 annually (DOE)
Overview
We are seeking Child Care Teachers to support children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This role utilizes the Reggio Emilia approach , emphasizing creativity, independence, and child-led exploration. Teachers work collaboratively to support cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development while partnering closely with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Reggio approach
- Create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
- Document daily activities, progress, and observations; communicate with parents
- Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development
- Supervise classroom aides and volunteers as assigned
- Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, and infection-control standards
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education
Requirements
Education (one of the following):
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or related field
- High school diploma plus 40+ hours of early childhood coursework
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years working with children ages 6 weeks–6 years (paid or unpaid)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, active, and occasionally noisy environment
Preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
- CDA (Child Development Associate) certification
- Experience with infants (6 weeks–2 years)
- Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
