At Chester Animal Clinic and West Chester Pet Resort , we know it takes a village to care for pets, and Veterinary Assistants are the glue that holds it all together. We're a close-knit, 3 Doctor practice with 2 Veterinary Technicians who love what they do and want a teammate who feels the same way. We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our crew and bring skill, kindness, and hustle to every exam room, surgery prep, and tail wag.

You'll Be A Great Fit If:

• Have at least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience (though we're willing to train the right person!)

• You love animals (obviously) and have a calm, steady presence

• You’re a great communicator and work well with clients and teammates

• You’re organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable

• You’re cool under pressure and thrive in a busy hospital setting

• You’re eager to learn and grow in your role

• You value teamwork and know how to pitch in wherever you’re needed

What You'll Do:

• Keeping accurate medical records and helping answer client questions

• Prepping patients for exams and surgeries

• Administering medications as directed

• Assisting with lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)

• Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas

• Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes

• Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures

• Helping educate pet parents on meds, treatments, and care

• Partnering with Credentialed Technicians and Veterinarians to provide top-tier care

Bonus Points If You:

• Have experience with venipuncture, patient restraint, or pharmacy knowledge
• Are familiar with small animal preventative care and client communication
• Have worked in Cornerstone practice management software
