Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLPA license for the state (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Excellent organizational skills and reliability
- A positive, patient, and adaptable approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy services to students
- Implement individualized education plans and therapy activities
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Prepare materials and adapt activities for optimal student engagement
- Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to promote students’ language development
- Support a diverse student population with varying communication needs
- Participate in team meetings as needed and contribute your observations
