Program Overview
About The Role
Peraton is seeking Summer 2026 Finance Interns with a passion for financial management, accounting processes and supporting missions of consequence. We have exciting internship opportunities supporting various sectors within Peraton either remotely or within the DMV (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia) area.
Interns will participate in a 10 week program starting in June 2026. Successful candidates could transition to part-time support and also be submitted for a security clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Performing, analyzing, and preparing reports to ensure program contracts are within negotiated, agreed-upon parameters, government cost control guidelines, and accounting guidelines
- Performing analyses and preparing program financial reports for internal and external customers relative to program cost incurrence, material tracking, and labor spending
- Facilitating, monitoring, and forecasting program financial metrics
- Working cooperatively with the business, functional, and technical staff to address internal and external customer requests
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
- US citizenship is required and the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
- Must be a full-time college student at an accredited university pursuing a 4 year BS/BA or MS/MA degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field.
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) over the 2026 summer.
- Basic knowledge of financial fundamentals and business processes.
- Strong foundational knowledge of MS Office Suite; Excel, Word, etc.
- For example; Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- An already existing/active security clearance.
- Rising Seniors and Juniors strongly preferred, however strong underclassmen may also be considered.

Target Salary Range: The rate / range per hour below represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
