As our Occasional Transportation Driver , you may cruise across the stunning VMRC campus, delivering safe, seamless, and delightful vehicular adventures for our notable residents. Picture this: Cruising in the fresh air aboard the Outdoor Shuttle, chatting one-on-one, and crafting personalized moments that spark joy and connection on every trip!

But that's just the warm-up! You will drive off-campus, shuttling residents to Life Enrichment (LE) programming that bursts with energy—think dynamic outings that create lasting memories. Dive headfirst into the action by teaming up with the LE crew to supercharge programs and activities, both on-campus and beyond, ensuring every event pulses with fun and fulfillment.

The best part? You'll be the ultimate collaborator, effortlessly syncing with our powerhouse team, especially our front desk dynamos, to keep the good vibes rolling across all service lines.

Starting base rate of pay is $15.00 - $17.79 per hour based upon previous work experiences and qualifications.

Work Schedule

Licensing & Driving Proficiency: High School, Diploma or equivalent, CDL required; must hold a current Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate VMRC vehicles.

Physical Capabilities & Certifications: Physically able to assist residents with transfers and ambulation; must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

Experience & Interpersonal Skills: At least one year of experience with older adults is preferred; pleasant personality with the ability to collaborate calmly, cooperatively, and professionally with staff, residents, and the public.

Customer Service Orientation : Deliver exceptional, friendly service in person and by phone, while presenting a positive impression of VMRC.

Work Style & Independence: Self-motivated self-starter capable of executing oral/written assignments independently with limited supervision, flexibility for changing priorities, and effective teamwork across campus.
