Title: Field Service Technician

Department: Service Department

Reports to: Service Manager

Employment Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for quotes, estimates, and repairs for various customer-owned janitorial equipment at their site as well as in our shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Troubleshooting and repair of equipment
• Preventive maintenance of equipment
• Coordination with dispatching on routing of service calls
• Maintain accurate and timely paperwork
• Research parts availability, pricing, usage, etc.
• Create work orders and quotes for repair services
• Follow up with customers on work order and quote status
• Handles all customer calls courteous and professionally
• Assure service is top priority whether internally or externally; treat members and employees professionally with courtesy and respect
• Follows up on customer problems, inquiries, and order status
• Attends to customer concerns, inquiries, and other requests
• Working with multiple parts vendors and service providers
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2+ years’ mechanical experience
• Excellent customer service skills and multitasking ability
• Must be a team player with a great attitude
• Must have a valid driver's license with positive points
• Must be able to adhere to safe operation of company owned vehicles and equipment
• Must always keep the assigned vehicle neat and clean
• Must possess a strong understanding of route planning and navigation
• Ability to champion ideas and possess desire to see them implemented
• Must be analytical and be able to problem solve
• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
• Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and develop solutions
• Strong written and verbal skills; ability to communicate effectively
• Must have a proactive attitude toward members, supervisors, co-workers, and the company

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close and peripheral vision, distance and depth vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

It has one of the largest showroom in the state and a very large training room.
