Medical Assistant/Front Desk Admin

Overview
Our family-owned primary care physician’s office in Woodbridge is seeking a friendly, reliable, and highly motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, passionate about helping others, and interested in building a long-term career in the medical or healthcare field. The doctor is committed to teaching and training the right candidate from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients, check them in, verify insurance, and update patient records
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage daily office communications
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
Coordinate patient flow and help maintain an organized, welcoming front office
Provide translation and support for Spanish-speaking patients
Support clinical staff with simple non-clinical tasks (training provided)
Maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA guidelines
Required Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask in a busy office environment
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and willingness to learn
Basic computer skills (email, scheduling, electronic files)
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Experience in medical office settings or customer service
- Interest in medical assisting, nursing, public health, or other healthcare careers
