Summary
The Commercial Support Specialist Hose Products supports daily commercial and operational activities with a primary focus on hose product lines. This fast-paced role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple priorities. The position oversees the full customer request lifecycle, from sourcing and quoting through order execution and follow-up, and serves as a key liaison among customers, suppliers, Engineering, and internal teams.
Essential Functions
- Manage the full quoting and order lifecycle for hose products, including sourcing, costing, pricing, order entry, and execution. Interpret complex customer requirements and technical specifications to deliver accurate, competitive quotations through close coordination with Engineering, Sales, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Serve as a primary point of communication among customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, proactively providing updates on pricing, lead times, order status, and issue resolution while expediting orders and preventing delays.
- Develop and maintain strong technical and system knowledge of VSP Technologies, including product offerings, MAS500, Salesforce, and internal tools. Create, manage, and maintain part numbers, product configurations, and associated documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all quality processes and procedures by managing required documentation such as MTRs, NDE reports, certificates of compliance, test certificates, assembly documentation, and tagging requirements.
- Collaborate with the Program Development Manager to communicate customer feedback, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to growth and development of the hose product line.
- Provide operational and administrative support to the product line, including document creation and management, databasing, filing, scanning, order dispute reconciliation, and adherence to established processes to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization to support effective teamwork, productivity, and a high-performing work environment.
Experience / Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- 3 Years of Customer service experience in manufacturing or Industrial business (Preferred)
- Experience with Industrial hose (Preferred)
- 2- or 4-year college degree in business, engineering technology, or related field (Preferred)
