Civil Engineer- Northern Virginia

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience in land development to join our growing team in Northern VA . The ideal candidate will have strong technical and design skills, experience managing projects from concept through construction, and a solid understanding of Virginia’s regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage land development projects including residential subdivisions, commercial sites, and municipal improvements.

• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.

• Perform site grading, stormwater management, utility design, and roadway design.

• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

• Review and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Assist in permitting processes and respond to agency review comments.

• Support project managers and contribute to proposal preparation and project scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• EIT certification required; PE license in Virginia preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months).

• 4+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D , stormwater modeling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of Virginia development codes, permitting processes, and design standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
