Information Assurance Engineer

This position is remote.
Responsibilities
- Support our client’s engineering and compliance teams with ongoing information assurance needs.
- First line of support, monitoring security hygiene and routing complex requests to the appropriate teams.
- Perform monitoring of cyber, compliance, and risk data streams.
- Triage program inquiries/requests and route to the appropriate team.
- Ensure the request process for compliance packages and resources is followed and working.
- Manage and maintain cybersecurity awareness training and compliance among employees.
- Perform security audits and coordinate penetration tests to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Work with engineering teams to harden cloud infrastructure components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information assurance, or a related discipline with at least 2 years of experience in an information technology role (or equivalent experience).
- Experience hardening operating systems, applications, and IT components with DISA STIGs.
- Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience in information assurance, risk management frameworks, or governance risk and compliance is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of contract management and legal compliance principles is a plus.
