Data Center Technician

TEKsystems is partnering with a global leader in information technology as they seek Data Center Technicians to support a local data center.

Job Responsibilities include:

- Server/Network/rPDU device rack, stack and cable incl. Cable Management

- Rack/MOR Cabling - General supervised Deployment support

- Decommission IT equipment (server and network under MSFT supervision), DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning)

- Physical audits of datacenter assets

- Basic Server (Discrete/Rack-based) repair following documented procedures

- Physically assist in moving and racking equipment

- Maintain data center facilities removing debris and empty boxes once no longer needed

- Hard drive shredding

- Moving Locked DBD Bins to shred area

- Audit and inventory management support & spine clean up

- Physical audit of drinks/stationary on campus and reorder as necessary through CBRE/Staples

- Perform rack movement

Shifts will be 12 hours (7am-7pm for Day Shift, 7pm-7am for Night shift) and be on either A side (Sunday - Wednesday) Or B side (Wednesday - Saturday).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $42.00/hr.
