TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Lexington, Virginia, 24450!
Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an ICU setting License: Active state or compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Cardiac/hemodynamic monitoring experience Arterial line management skills Ability to care for ventilated patients Experience in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Description: The ICU Registered Nurse will work in a small community hospital setting. The unit generally has a lower acuity level. The nurse may be required to float to medical-surgical units. Flexibility may be needed to float to other facilities if requested. Mileage will be reimbursed for travel between facilities. The position requires the ability to handle cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring. The nurse should be experienced in managing arterial lines. Caring for ventilated patients is a key responsibility of this role. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage them is essential. Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips is expected. The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1:2 during both day and night shifts. Weekend and holiday work is required as part of the contract. Compliance with health and safety requirements is mandatory.
