As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. You will be responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring security measures to protect our infrastructure and comply with government and industry standards. Your expertise will be essential in identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and ensuring the continuous improvement of our security posture. <\/span>

Responsibilities: <\/span><\/span>

● Security Implementation: Design, implement, and manage security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and data. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● eMASS and ACAS: Utilize eMASS and ACAS scanning for vulnerability assessments and Risk Management Framework (RMF) decisions. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities in systems and applications. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures. Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor security systems and analyze potential threats. Utilize tools and technologies to detect and respond to security events. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Compliance: Ensure compliance with government and industry standards, such as NIST, FISMA, and DoD requirements. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify security gaps and recommend improvements. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Security Training: Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports. <\/span>

● Collaboration: Work closely with IT, engineering, and other teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization. <\/span>

● US Citizenship Required: Only US Citizens are eligible for this position. <\/span>

● Clearance: US Citizens, Client will sponsor security clearance. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in cyber security or a related field. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Security Tools: Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, and endpoint protection. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Vulnerability Management: Experience with vulnerability management tools and techniques, including eMASS and ACAS scanning. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Incident Response: Strong experience in incident response and handling security breaches. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Compliance: Knowledge of government and industry security standards and regulations, such as NIST, FISMA, and DoD requirements. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Risk Assessment: Experience conducting risk assessments and security audits. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Problem -solving: Strong problem -solving skills and ability to work in a fast -paced dynamic environment. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

● Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross -functional teams. <\/span>

● Location: 2 -3 days/week onsite in the DC Metro area. <\/span>
