Safety Manager

Evolution Safety Resources is a third-party recruiting firm partnering with a respected commercial services organization to fill a Safety Director position through a direct placement . We are seeking a seasoned safety professional to lead and manage all workplace safety initiatives across multiple job sites in the DMV region , with monthly travel to Richmond, VA .This role is ideal for a hands-on safety leader who can drive compliance, foster a strong safety culture, and collaborate closely with field and operations leadership. The Safety Director will report directly to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support field safety personnel across multiple projects
• Promote and enforce a proactive, accountability-driven safety culture
• Conduct routine job site safety inspections to ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance
• Identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and track resolutions
• Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and documentation
• Ensure job sites have required safety signage and equipment
• Act as the primary contact during OSHA or third-party safety inspections
• Develop job-specific safety plans with Superintendents and Project Managers
• Deliver safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks
• Stay current on regulatory updates and industry best practices
• Build strong working relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors, clients, and field teams
• Attend project and safety coordination meetings as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction-related safety experience
• BCSP certification required (CHST, CSP, or equivalent)
• OSHA 510 certification required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
• Experience with fall protection and AWP/MEWP safety practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Proven experience delivering safety training to employees
