We're a growing team of innovators working at the forefront of sustainable aviation-every hire plays a critical role in shaping the future of flight.The RoleAs our Configuration Management Specialist, you will support configuration management activities across the organization, ensuring the integrity, traceability, and control of all engineering data, hardware, and software throughout the product lifecycle. This is a highly impactful, cross-functional role where you'll support development and maintainenance of configuration management processes that enable engineering, operations, and program teams to move efficiently while maintaining compliance and quality standards.You'll serve as a key steward of Electra's configuration management infrastructure, building robust processes, managing changes, and supporting certification efforts for a cutting-edge aircraft program.What You'll DoSupport development and implementation of configuration management policies, procedures, and best practices across the organizationManage configuration items, including hardware, software, and documentationMaintain accurate, complete, and auditable records of system configurations and changesImplement and oversee version control processes for engineering data and documentationManage change requests and coordinate approval workflows through Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)Conduct impact assessments for proposed changes and ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirementsPerform regular configuration audits to verify alignment between documented and actual system configurationsMaintain configuration databases and ensure information is accessible for stakeholders and auditsPartner closely with engineering, operations, program leadership, suppliers, and certification teams to ensure effective configuration controlSupport software releases, hardware baselines, and lifecycle configuration trackingServe as a central point of contact for configuration management practices across the organizationWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceHands-on experience in configuration management or systems administration, preferably in aerospace or a regulated industryStrong knowledge of configuration management principles, processes, and industry best practicesExperience with PLM systems, preferably TeamcenterExperience implementing configuration management processes at the company or program levelFamiliarity with software release management and dependencies across complex systemsUnderstanding of full product lifecycle and how configuration management integrates into each phaseStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting configuration management on a commercial aircraft development programExperience conducting audits and ensuring compliance with internal and external standardsFamiliarity with version control tools such as Git or SVNExperience with software deployment, release management, and patching processesKnowledge of FAA regulatory requirements related to design controlCompensation$80,000.00 – $95,000.00 annually. This range reflects the anticipated hiring range across all eligible locations; actual compensation is determined based on your relevant experience, skills, and geographic location. Work may require some physical effort in handling light materials, boxes, power tools, prototypes, and different materials or equipment. Due to the nature of our business and projects, some fieldwork may be required, working in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
