Financial Services Specialist I - Procurement

- 5 days a week - 5-6 hours per day, fully onsite (Parking not included)

Duties:
- Process revenue.
- Receive, sort, and open incoming mail and deposit revenue no later than the next business day. Match checks with proper supporting documentation, verify coding, and distribution of funds. Key revenue into Agency financial management system.
- Scan checks for deposit in Wells Fargo through Commercial Electronic Office ?CEO?. All deposits are recorded in accordance with Commonwealth Accounting Policies & Procedures ?CAPP?, Agency policies, and Finance Office operating practices.
- Provide backup support for expenditure processor.
- Selected expenditure transactions are audited for required distribution, coding, authorized signatures. Ensure the expenditure is an appropriate Commonwealth expense. These transactions are keyed into Agency financial management system or Cardinal in accordance with Prompt Pay, CAPP, Agency policies and Finance Office operating practices. Process other expenditure transactions as assigned.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and automated environment using computer-based accounting systems and electronic spreadsheets, multi-task and meets rigid deadlines. Ability to independently research and resolve problems in a timely manner; to follow instructions and policies; to maintain accurate files
