Maintenance Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support facility operations in Lynchburg, VA and surrounding areas . This role is critical to maintaining equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement, and minimizing downtime. Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on machinery and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; implement timely and effective repairs.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and unplanned downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify opportunities for process, equipment, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and support operational goals.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and systems.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar technical maintenance role.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex industrial equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules and respond to on-call maintenance needs as required.
