Public Relations and Communications Assistant

We have an immediate opening for an Entry-Level Public Relations and Communications Assistant to join our growing team supporting nonprofit and charitable organizations.

This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about communications, public engagement, and mission-driven work. You will help coordinate outreach efforts, support fundraising and awareness campaigns, and assist in planning and executing community-based events that promote meaningful charitable initiatives.

Our team works closely with nonprofit partners to increase visibility, strengthen community relationships, and drive engagement through in-person events and strategic communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Marketing Manager in developing and executing outreach and communications strategies with nonprofit partners
• Assist in the planning and coordination of charitable campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and community events
• Serve as a day-to-day communications contact, representing nonprofit brands professionally and positively
• Communicate clearly and consistently with internal teams and external partners
• Contribute creative ideas to increase awareness, engagement, and community involvement
• Assist in organizing and executing on-site and off-site charity events
• Monitor industry and nonprofit trends and share relevant insights and recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred
• 1+ year of experience in communications, PR, marketing, or customer-facing roles preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive attitude
• Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
