Seasonal Front Desk and Sales

Victoria's Day Spa is a full-service day spa in Yorktown, VA. We are committed to providing quality services and products to the greater Hampton Roads community.

Our clients are here for pampering and to relax. We offer ample waiting rooms, complementary beverages, online booking and a clean, sanitary environment for everyone.
As a team member you will earn an hourly rate plus commission on attributed retail product sales, store discounts on services and products, and the chance the be part of an amazing team!
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive
- Gift Certificate Sales
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures)
- Schedule appointments
- Sells products and services
- Takes cash payments and check out guests
- Laundry including folding and sorting
- Update and maintain customer information records
- Restock supplies and resources
Customer Service:
- Maintain professionalism
- Provide quality customer service to all clients and potential clients, and respecting the diversity of our guests
- Ensure the health and safety of our guests by making sure all areas are free of hazards
- Communicate regularly with guests, as appropriate
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate physical activity
- Requires handling of average-weight objects and standing/walking for a minimum of four (4) hours per day
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. computers, printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree
Coverage needed: November 25th -December 31st, some hires through mid January. May be an option for some to stay on and continue to a full time receptionist role after.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 per hour
