DevOps Cloud Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Cloud Network Engineer to work on cloud-based systems with a mission operations team. The team is involved in operating and sustaining multiple operational cloud-deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and administration of Citrix-based desktops in cloud-based environments.
Responsibilities:
The DevOps Cloud Network Engineer will take a leadership role in system changes and improvements; working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and respond to complex user INCs (Incident Reports); proactively recommending configuration changes to help improve system performance; Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; update critical databases with new data; author and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs.
Responsibilities:
- The primary duties will be to support the deployment of microservices via a DevSecOps pipeline within a Linux-based multi-tenant environment.
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and securing virtual networks within AWS
- Experience implementing VPC network connectivity
- Experience diagnosing and resolving VPC connectivity issues
- Develop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code
- Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy docker containers
- Review code within Git and extract/create engineering documentation as needed
- Support Developer deployments
- Provide technical guidance for all capabilities/microservices
- Support Developer testing in the environment
- Create and Maintain DevOps documentation
- Understanding of custom code development/reviews
- Experience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scripting
- Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS)
- Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
- Experience supporting development testing
- Experience with cloud-based architectures
- Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
- Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Typically requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Active TS/SCI
- Conduct Security remediation as needed from scans
- Other tasks as assigned
