Mineral Process Engineer/MetallurgistSeeking a motivated and technically skilled Engineer to provide metallurgical and process engineering support to our production teams by optimizing process performance, improving plant efficiency, and ensuring safe and sustainable processing practices. The engineer must exercise sound judgment in evaluating problems, coordinating metallurgical/process test work, and provide solutions and feedback to operational personnel/management.This position requires a champion of a strong safety culture and compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Operational SupportProvide process engineering support to mining and mineral separation operations to ensure efficient and safe mineral processingMonitor daily production data and quality parameters to identify adverse conditions and/or trends and offer suggestions for remedial actionsCollaborate and engage with Site Managers, Mine Engineers, Geologist, and Plant Personnel to ensure all stakeholders are kept appropriately informed about plant performance and processing requirementsPlant Performance & OptimizationMonitor and review plant performance, identifying opportunities for improvement including separation equipment setting changes, projects, and/or training programsConduct process audits, surveys, and performance evaluationsOptimize process systems, including:Materials handling systemsProcess water balancePhysical Separation equipment/circuits, including:MagneticElectrostaticGravity/DensityContribute to plant design modifications and process improvementsPromote safe work practices among employees and contractorsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related fieldsExperience in mineral sands, mining, or heavy industry processing environments preferredStrong understanding of mineral processing principles and plant operationsExperience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologiesAbility to work cross-functionally and influence outcomesKnowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsCommitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardshipCharacteristicsWork Standards - Posses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
