Fixed Income Analyst

: ASSET MANAGEMENT - FIXED INCOME ANALYST Location: Richmond, VA Department: Davenport Asset Management OVERVIEW Davenport Asset Management manages over $10 billion in assets across several proprietary equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies. This full time position is designed to give the employee broad exposure to all aspects of Davenport Asset Management by playing an integral role in the fixed income investment management effort. RESPONSIBILITIES Include, but are not limited to:

• Fixed income market monitoring and trading
• Account maintenance and oversight
• Strategy formulation and execution
• Performance monitoring
• Independent research
• Internal and external communication

In addition, the employee will oversee the following duties:

• Initial investment of funds
• Portfolio modeling and risk assessment
• Maintenance trading to accommodate contributions and distributions
• Monitor account model strategies' performance
• Interaction with portfolio managers and sales force

QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree, Finance or Economics major
• 1 to 3 years of industry experience, fixed income background preferred
• CFA designation or candidate a plus
• Series 7 & 66 registered or must obtain registration within six months of hire date
• Extremely well-organized, detail-oriented and accurate; must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel; Bloomberg experience
• Ability to learn and master computer applications that house customer data
• Ability to understand and adhere to industry rules and regulations
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to work beyond the standard work day when needed in order to meet the demands of the position
