PIPE CREW LOADER OPERATOR MISSION:Your mission is to skillfully operate both a rubber tire and track loader along with other various pieces of heavy equipment to support our pipe crew operationsensuring effective water management and infrastructure integrity. Uphold safety standards, learn new skills, tackle challenging tasks, keep the worksite clean, and communicate effectively with the team. The position may also require physical labor and the ability to lift heavy objects.

PIPE CREW EXCAVATOR OPERATOR MISSION:Your mission is to skillfully operate excavation equipment for the precise and safe installation of storm sewer pipes, ensuring effective water management and infrastructure integrity. Uphold safety standards, learn new skills, tackle challenging tasks, keep the worksite clean, and communicate effectively with the team.

EXCAVATION OPERATOR MISSION:Your mission is to efficiently and safely operate various equipment to support grade crews. You will identify and manage different types of soil, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt materials, perform layout tasks using survey stakes and GPS technology, and install protective measures like super silt fences and tree protection. Maintaining clean equipment and work areas, managing water removal, and ensuring site safety through proper use of confined space tools and adherence to traffic control methods are essential. You will assist with grading, excavation, and backfilling tasks, contributing to the overall success of the site development project.

GRADING OPERATOR MISSION: Your mission is to support grade crews. You will safely and skillfully maneuver various equipment for cut to fill and grading operations. You will accurately interpret grading plans, perform layout tasks using survey stakes and GPS technology, and install protective measures like super silt fences and tree protection. Uphold safety standards, learn new skills, tackle challenging tasks, keep the worksite clean, and communicate effectively with the team.

Description of Duties:

  • Operating Equipment: Support Crew by assisting foremen and other crew members by operating heavy equipment to move materials on job sites.
  • Maintaining Safety Standards:Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others on the site.
  • Learning and Development:Gaining hands-on experience and learning new skills related to heavy construction and site development.
  • Performing Manual Labor: May also be asked to assist with pipe laying and other construction activities.
  • Ensuring Cleanliness: Keep the worksite clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment. The operator is responsible for ensuring the machine is fueled, greased, and lubricated daily. If there is an equipment malfunction, the operator shall notify the foreman or supervisor immediately
  • Communicating Effectively:Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers to complete tasks efficiently.

Position Type:Full Time

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment, with a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Knowledge of site development and construction operations.
  • Strong communication skills, should be able to read plans and set grades.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, lift heavy materials, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from more experienced workers.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Position: Based on competency and skill level.
  • Accrued paid time off (PTO) at the start of employment, and paid holidays after 6 months.
  • Employer-sponsored Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefit Plans become available on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
