Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Eau Claire, WI 54701 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center PACU
• Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (08:30 – 17:00), 40 hours/week
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250–$2310

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid Wisconsin RN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience in a clinical setting
• Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Community hospital and trauma level I/II experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from endoscopy, pain management, orthopedic (hand), dental, and ophthalmology procedures
• Perform bedside shift reporting (BSSR), utilize AIDET communication, and conduct hourly rounding
• Care for a diverse patient population: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation, airway assessment, and pain management
• Conduct pre-op assessments, medication reconciliation, and provide discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float within the hospital as needed to support patient care and clinical operations
