Job Description

Join a leading tobacco production facility as a General Services Clerk. In this role, you will ensure a clean and organized production floor by removing unwanted materials and maintaining standards in line with company policy. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking stable weekday hours and hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Picking:
  • Remove stems, off-color tobacco, and foreign materials (e.g., strings, dirt, paper) from the conveyor line
  • Dispose of materials properly in assigned bins
• Sweeping & General Floor Maintenance:
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of designated floor areas
  • Dispose of debris and sweepings into designated metal containers
  • Follow cleanliness protocols according to 5S3R standards
• Additional Tasks:
  • Substitute for other positions in case of temporary vacancies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department lead or line manager

Qualifications and Requirements

• Prior tobacco industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 10 lbs.
• Strong sense of teamwork, coordination, and dependability
• Awareness of safety protocols and ability to follow them precisely
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
