Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant II to join our growing team in Roanoke, VA.

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the day-to-day financial operations of the company—supporting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely transactions, and supporting compliance efforts across the business.

What You’ll Do

Accounts Payable

• Manage AP inbox and ticket workflow (Zoho Desk)
• Post vendor bills, reconcile statements, and process credits
• Maintain Bill.com sync and prepare weekly payment runs
• Communicate with vendors on payment status and inquiries
• Audit credit card transactions and expense reports
• Support vendor onboarding and maintain accurate records

Accounts Receivable

• Manage AR inbox and customer invoicing processes
• Review invoices for accuracy and process corrections
• Apply customer payments and reconcile deposits
• Monitor aging reports and support collections efforts
• Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances
• Maintain accurate customer records in CRM

General Accounting & Compliance

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns
• Reconcile accounts, including sales tax and general ledger accounts
• Maintain business licenses and compliance documentation
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, and financial analysis
• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Identify and implement process improvements

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree or certificate in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Work Environment

This is an in-office role based in Roanoke, VA, with standard business hours (Monday–Friday). The position is primarily desk-based with regular collaboration across departments.
