Critical Facilities Technician III
Join a leading data center team in Middletown as a Critical Facility Technician III, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of mission-critical infrastructure. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and emergency response for a state-of-the-art facility, working closely with both internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities
- Oversee and administer assigned facility projects, including directing project teams and contractors.
- Manage facility operations, produce reports, and administer support systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and technical reports.
- Create Scopes of Work (SOWs) for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as needed.
- Collaborate with customers and support staff to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve facility issues.
- Provide 24x7 on-call emergency response and support as required.
- Operate, maintain, and perform both routine and emergency service on critical mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
- Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to ensure efficient operation of all building systems.
- Coordinate and oversee equipment vendors and maintenance contractors.
- Ensure compliance with facility work rules, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of preventative, contracted, and general maintenance with minimal disruption to services.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer concerns.
- Provide timely verbal and written operating reports to the Facility Manager.
- Attend manufacturer training as applicable.
- Perform other assigned tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of journeyman-level experience in electrical or facility operations.
- Experience writing SOPs, EOPs, MOPs, technical reports, and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions and exercise stop work authority when necessary.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, mobile device applications, and CMMS software.
- Electrical certifications or licenses required.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Familiarity with applicable Federal, State, and local codes and regulations.
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
