We are currently seeking a Vice President of Operations – Transportation , a strategic leader with deep experience in fleet management and operational excellence. Your Role:

As VP of Operations – Transportation, you will be accountable for the financial and operational performance of a major metropolitan market. Your leadership will drive fleet productivity, regulatory compliance, team performance, and continuous service improvement. You will be instrumental in scaling our business while ensuring exceptional service delivery in a dynamic, customer-first environment.

Key Responsibilities of a VP of Operations:

• Strategic Oversight : Lead all operational functions within your market to meet or exceed performance targets.
• Financial Leadership : Own P&L responsibility; manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to DOT standards and all applicable local and federal transportation regulations.
• Fleet Management : Oversee vehicle availability, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
• Team Leadership : Recruit, train, and manage diverse teams of employees and independent contractors.
• Market Growth : Identify and execute on opportunities to expand market share and enhance service delivery.
• Talent Development : Drive strategic hiring and retention of key personnel across fleet and operations.
• Performance Reporting : Track and analyze KPIs, producing actionable insights and regular updates for senior leadership.

What You Bring as a VP of Operations:

• Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations at a leadership level
• Strong financial acumen with direct P&L and budget oversight
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and safety compliance within the transportation industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, distributed teams across both employee and contractor models
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with fleet management systems preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Operations, or a related field strongly preferred
