SimOps/STK Engineer
SimOps/STK Engineer Belong. Connect. Grow. with KBR! KBR is seeking an engineer with expertise in SimOps and the use of System Tool Kit to support one of our IC customers in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure. This position requires technical interaction with a diverse team of Systems Engineering/Technical Assistance (SETA) and Contracted Administrative Assistance Services (CAAS) team members as well as providing technical and programmatic oversight of the various Development Contractors across the Enterprise. - Requirements: Integrating new systems and initiatives in support of customer/mission partner requirements and work directly with our developers and users in operations
- Interfaces: Understanding system-to-system interfaces and act as an Integrator
- Schedules : Monitoring system and segment schedules while recognizing dependencies.
- Risks: Identifying risks and opportunities
- Meetings: Organizing and managing meetings and information sessions
- Workflows: Identifying and automating workflows
- Reporting: Preparation of presentations and reports
- Agile: Applying Agile principles to management of a government/contractor software development team working disparate projects - informing lines of authority, maintaining status, and distributing workload
- Identify: Coordinating partnerships with mission partners and domain expertise to identify capability gaps to identify project opportunities
- Location: On-site
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
- Working Hours: Standard/Flexible
- Security Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Education: A technical degree: 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD
- STK: Certification and experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK)
- IC: Intelligence Community (IC)knowledge and work history
- Agile: Prior Agile software development experience delivering new capabilities using Agile methodologies
- Requirements: Experience identifying user and enterprise needs/requirements and gap identification, analysis, and assessment
- Candidate will be required to sign and adhere to the following: Non-Disclosure Agreement(s), Confidential Agreement and Conflict of Interest Certification
- Program: Familiarity with Integrated Intelligence program office
