Job Title: 1st Class Marine Pipefitter

Location: Virginia (NOB NNSY & Little Creek)

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced 1st Class Marine Pipefitter with a valid DBIDS credential to join our shipyard team supporting operations at Naval Station Norfolk and Little Creek. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a skilled professional who excels in pipe bending and marine system installations. Key Responsibilities

• Execute pipefitting tasks aboard marine vessels and shipyard facilities
• Bend and shape pipes to fit complex marine systems
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise installations
• Work with copper-nickel and carbon steel piping materials
• Support threading, brazing, and general piping operations as needed

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in marine pipefitting and pipe bending
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Familiarity with piping systems including threading and brazing
• Experience working with copper-nickel and carbon steel

Additional Qualifications

• Brazing experience preferred but not required
• Must possess a valid DBIDS card for base access
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with shipyard safety protocols and equipment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
