About the Role

We are seeking a Plant Procurement Manager to oversee all plant purchasing and inventory operations for our landscaping projects. This person will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, and tracking plant material for jobs sold by our sales/design team, while also managing and organizing our plant holding yard to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with sales, design, and production teams to forecast plant needs for upcoming projects.

• Source, price, and purchase plant material from nurseries, wholesale suppliers, and growers.

• Negotiate pricing and availability to maintain profitability and reliability.

• Schedule and track deliveries to ensure material arrives on time and in proper condition.

• Maintain and organize the plant holding yard / inventory area , including labeling, layout, and staging systems.

• Monitor plant quality and ensure all material meets company standards before installation.

• Keep accurate inventory records and reconcile excess/unused material for return or reuse.

• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships .

• Assist production teams in staging and tagging plant material for crews.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in landscape supply, nursery operations, procurement, or inventory management .

• Strong plant knowledge (trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, native species, etc.).

• Highly organized , detail-oriented, and proactive.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, outdoor/field-based environment .

• Clear and professional communication skills — both internally and with vendors.

• Ability to lift and assist with occasional loading/unloading when needed.

• Proficiency with Excel, inventory software, or purchasing tools is a plus.
