Installation Technician (Lightning Protection)

Our client is a premier specialty contracting firm dedicated to safeguarding structures from nature's most powerful forces. Our client installs advanced lightning protection and grounding systems for everything from residential homes and massive commercial complexes to priceless historical landmarks. This is a direct hire opportunity.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• High-Level Installations: Safely install air terminals (lightning rods), heavy-duty copper/aluminum conductors, grounding networks, and surge protectors on roofs and structures.

• Site Evaluation: Read blueprints, inspect structures to calculate lightning risk factors, and determine the exact, strategic placement of systems.

• Safety & Compliance: Work closely as a team to follow complex national safety standards (LPI and UL guidelines), ensuring every system flawlessly diverts electricity into the ground.

What We're Looking For (Hiring & Candidate Requirements):

• No Fear of Heights: You must be 100% comfortable climbing ladders, operating on rooftops, and working at high elevations in outdoor conditions.

• Tool Savvy: You have solid experience using standard hand tools and power tools. A background in construction, roofing, or basic electrical work is a plus, but we will fully train the right person.

• Background & Site Access: Because we work on high-security commercial and historical sites, a clean background check is required , and you must be able to be badged depending on the specific job site needs.

• Age Requirement: Must be 23 years of age or older (required for company vehicle insurance and specific site guidelines).
